Iraq's Corner Stone
Sons Of Light Military Lodge #197 was Chartered in
Balad, Iraq in 2006. It is the first of Oklahoma's Lodges to
have been founded and established here during Operation
Iraqi Freedom. Providing a bond of brotherhood to those
who serve, Soldiers and Civilians alike, Sons of Light makes
a continuous effort to support deployed troops.

Freemasonry is a beautiful system of morality that is veiled
in allegory and illustrated by symbols.  Our members have
committed themselves to striving, every day, to become
better men, citizens, friends, and neighbors.

Regularly constituted and legal Lodges of Freemasonry in
the United States of America are essentially divided into
two distinct Organizations – “Mainstream” Masonry and
Prince Hall Masonry. Mainstream Masonry is primarily
composed of, but not limited to, members of Caucasian
descent while Prince Hall Masonry is primarily composed
of, but also not limited to, members of the African-
American heritage.
